How to Hide Caller ID on Samsung Note 9, Samsung Note 8

You must keep in mind when you hide caller ID on Note 9 and Note 8, the other person to whom you are making a call will see Private Number Calling, instead of your number. These are a few simple steps that will help you do so,

  • Go to the Home Screen.
  • Tap Phone
  • Tap More option (the three vertical dots).
  • Select Settings.
  • Locate and tap More settings.
  • Choose the number, SIM 1 or SIM 2.
  • Hit Show my caller ID.
  • Tap Hide number.

Currently, the option selected is Network default. So if you want to hide caller id on Note 8 or Note 9, tap on Hide number. However, changing settings of your device may not hide your caller id from others, for that, you have to contact network carrier. Before contacting them, verify if it is working or not.

It is also possible to hide caller id for making a single call, to do so, type #31# before the phone number. Apart from this, if you have selected hide my number, then you can show the number by typing #31# before the number/
