Detach Screen Protector

A screen protector might only trap the heat or its thickness, preventing the scanner sensor from reading your fingerprint. 

Force Restart Phone

The pesky glitch might be resulting fingerprint suddenly stopped working or failed to recognize. To resolve it, you can try out forcing restarting. For this, long-press the Power Button and Volume Button simultaneously for 10-12 seconds and then let out the buttons when the phone reboots. That’s It!
